A very cold place has warmed up to women. Minnesota has passed landmark legislation that provides for women's economic security. It's a first for the nation—now will other states follow suit?

It's been almost 100 years since the 19th amendment guaranteed the female vote. Fast forward to 2014 - all-male panels are discussing women's reproductive rights, politicians can't seem to get the urgency of the Paycheck Fairness Act, and, oh, 15 states still haven't even ratified the Equal Rights Amendment.
