The Women's Media Center has done it again. This infographic shows clearly that men dominate the media landcape. An update to their annual report counted some 27,000 pieces of content and concluded that men make up 63% of the media we see across all platforms. Where another really big divide exists: subject matter. Women's voices and bylines are concentrated in lifestyle and health, whereas men tend to report on politics, the economy, and all the other serious stuff.
Note that public television does the best when it comes to gender equality. This infographic tells the story pretty succinctly.
